MICHAEL LASH JOINS CENTRAL LIFE SCIENCES AS ILLINOIS SALES DEVELOPMENT MGR

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - Central Life Sciences, a leader in stored grain protection, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Lash as Sales Development Manager for Illinois. With his deep knowledge of grain storage and insect management, Lash is focused on helping Illinois growers and operators protect their stored grain and navigate changing market dynamics.

Lash's appointment comes at a crucial time for grain producers. With corn prices trending around $4.20/bu according to the USDA's 2025 corn price outlook, and expanded corn and wheat acreage across the Midwest, storing grain longer is becoming a key strategy to improve marketing flexibility. However, longer storage durations bring increased risks, including insect damage, shrink, and dockage.

"Protecting the value of stored grain is just as important as producing it," said Lash. "My goal is to support Illinois producers with tailored, start-to-finish treatment strategies--whether they're prepping bins, applying directly to grain, or responding to insect pressure."

Lash will support growers throughout the state with tailored recommendations, including the timely use of Gravista Insecticide, now available in a convenient quart size. Gravista Insecticide is a flexible tool that not only treats empty bins but is also labeled for post-harvest stored grain, giving producers greater coverage and control.

"Illinois farmers already know the importance of rotating products in the field to stay ahead of insect resistance," Lash said. "We're applying that same principle to stored grain with the Bug Free Grains lineup. Gravista Insecticide is designed to help maintain grain quality and reduce shrink."

Central Life Sciences continues its commitment to making every kernel count through localized support and innovative solutions. Both growers and commercial operators in Illinois can contact Michael Lash for insights and support as they prepare bins and plan for extended storage in the 2025 season.
