FRONTIER FIELDS PROGRAM FROM MOSAIC BIOSCIENCES EXPANDS TO EASTERN CANADA
Source: Mosaic Biosciences news release

TAMPA, FL - Every season is a new opportunity for farmers to try something new and discover how different products can enhance their farm operations and their unique management practices, soil types and growing conditions. And, as biologicals remain one of the fastest-growing segments in agriculture, many farmers are especially curious about how these products work, and why.

To help answer these questions, Mosaic Biosciences is expanding the second season of Frontier Fields, a docuseries on YouTube, into eastern Canada to diversify trials, crops and experiences, as well as further elevate the authentic opinions of farmers as they uncover how bio crop nutrition products work on their farms.

The inaugural season of Frontier Fields garnered more than 1.7 million YouTube views as six farmers shared real-world insights about the yield advantages and Return on Fertilizer Investment (ROFI) biologicals can provide while they trialed BioPath, a Bio Crop Nutrition product from Mosaic Biosciences. On average, the Season 1 farmers observed a yield advantage of 5.12 bu/ac and an ROI of 3.9:1.

The second season of Frontier Fields follows six new U.S. farmers from planting through harvest as they actively trial BioPath or PowerCoat from Mosaic Biosciences on corn. The six farmers represent different farm sizes and levels of experience in using biologicals.

Chris deNijs of Bercab Farms Inc. in Tupperville, Ontario, and Keith Thibeau of Thibeau Farms, LLC in Fort Fairfield, Maine, both farm in Canada and have recently joined the Season 2 cast. They're putting BioPath to the test on their farms with a new set of crops -- vegetables.

Throughout Season 2, the Frontier Fields farmers will continue to share their honest perceptions and experiences of using biological products and how they impact a crop's success.

"At Mosaic Biosciences, our biologicals undergo rigorous in-lab and on-farm testing to understand how factors like soil types, moisture levels, growing conditions, and more can affect if and how well a biological product works," said Matt Sowder, Director of Field Solutions at Mosaic Biosciences. "With the continuation of the Frontier Fields program, we will gain additional insights and data to further our knowledge of where and how biologicals work best to optimize yield potential and increase farmers' return on fertilizer investment."

As the farmers discover the potential that bacillus-based plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) products offer, each of their stories will come to life through candid updates via audio, photos and videos, all housed on FrontierFields.com. Visitors can follow along throughout the year to track the farmers' progress and experiences in the field.

"Eastern Canada growers face a unique set of growing season challenges, but like farmers all across North America, they're always looking for ways to make the most of their yield potential and ROI. Bio crop nutrition products from Mosaic have unlocked another opportunity for them to do that," said Amanda Mossman-Savage, Eastern Canada Regional Sales Manager, Mosaic Biosciences. "I look forward to seeing how Chris and Keith's Frontier Fields trials perform this season!"
