Aug. 20, 2025 by Terry Kippley, CPDA President/CEO
The theme for this joint meeting is "Elevating Our Voice." This is an especially appropriate theme given the challenges facing agriculture today, a struggling farm economy, tariffs, Make America Healthy Again recommendations, Endangered Species Act (ESA) pesticide restrictions, Pesticide Registration Improvement Act (PRIA) backlogs, and others. In the face of mounting regulatory and market pressures, collaboration across the industry is more important than ever. The synergies between CPDA and CLA have always been evident, but this joint meeting takes our partnership to a whole new level. By combining our resources, expertise, and networks, we're offering our members an unparalleled platform for learning, networking, and advocacy. One highlight of the program will be remarks from Kyle Kunkler, the senior political official overseeing pesticide regulation at the U.S. EPA. As Deputy Assistant Administrator for Pesticides, Kunkler will provide updates on the Agency's regulatory priorities, progress on the pesticide registration backlog, and the latest developments related to ESA mitigation options for growers. The Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, WI, is the site of this year's meeting where attendees can expect an agenda packed with insights and opportunities to include: *Joint Keynote Sessions; *An Executive Leadership Panel; *Networking opportunities include joint breakfasts, breaks, and evening receptions; and *Recreational opportunities to include championship-level golf. While many sessions will be held jointly, both organizations will also meet separately for their business meetings, including the Board of Directors and Executive Committee meetings. Registration for the joint meeting is open to all CPDA and CLA members, as well as invited guests from the broader agricultural community. Attendance is expected to be robust, with hundreds of participants anticipated from across North America and beyond. To register and more information click here. Interested parties are encouraged to register early to take advantage of discounted rates and to secure accommodation at the Grand Geneva Resort. CPDA plans to utilize this year's annual meeting for a review of 2025 and to prepare and plan for 2026. This includes: *The passing of the gavel. Current CPDA Chairman of the Board Terry Abbott will pass the gavel to Helena's Patrick Ewan. *Honoring our 2025 CPDA Award Winners *Updating our attendees on the latest developments on Drift Reduction Adjuvants, EPA's ESA Strategies, fixing the PRIA backlog, Farm Bill update, state affairs activities, and others. *Previews of the 2026 CPDA Washington, DC, Fly-In and the CPDA Adjuvants, Inerts, and Crop Protection Conference. The CPDA and CLA annual joint meeting promises to be more than just another conference. Make plans today to attend and we hope to see you in September. Tweet |
