U.S. FARMERS & RANCHERS IN ACTION ANNOUNCE ITS FOURTH WEBINAR Aug. 21, 2025

Park Rdge, IL -- The fourth webinar in USFRA's series on the five key opportunities to reduce the carbon footprint of agriculture identified in USFRA's "Potential for U.S. Agriculture to Be Greenhouse Gas Negative" report will be held Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. CT. The focus is on the challenges and opportunities in energy and energy use efficiency.
Speakers include Dr. Tom Richard of the Global Council for Science and the Environment (GCSE) Dr. Marty Matlock of the University of Arkansas, Marilyn Hershey of Dairy Management Inc. and a USFRA board member, and Doug Berven of POET and a USFRA board member.
USFRA is conducting a webinar for each of the opportunities outlined in the report. The first webinar, which was held in April, focused on nitrogen fertilizer manager. The other key opportunity identified in the peer-reviewed report, which was published last fall, is crop production and the yield gap.
