Matt Jungmann, national events manager with Farm Progress, says the 2025 Farm Progress Show marks the 20th anniversary of one of the industry's largest events moving to permanent sites in Decatur, IL, and Boone, IA. "The show has evolved and grown and become, I think, higher in stature over those 20 years." He says, "The permanent footing of the dates and the permanent footing of the locations has really helped international traffic, media traffic, as well as the farmers, obviously, and so it's really cool to celebrate that 20 years." He tells Brownfield that, despite the growth and changes, the Farm Progress Show remains the premier place to see the latest agricultural equipment in action. "I mean, you've got global product introductions from companies like AGCO, John Deere, and CaseIH, as well as, the drone zone that we're going to have out there. The agenda is full of things to do and see that are industry related." Jungmann says the slowdown in the ag economy isn't slowing down the Show. "You will notice maybe some downsizing, maybe not quite as elaborate of exhibits, but there's always eternal optimism in agriculture, and everybody knows that this will turn around." He says, "They want to make sure to get good time with their customers" And he says the harvesting demos are a go. "A full week before the show, and that corn was hand shelled at 19%, so we're not going to have any problem at all with the moisture." He says, "It should put on a really good show for the attendees." The 2025 Farm Progress Show in Decatur runs August 26th through the 28th. Tweet |
