AGCO'S FENDT LAUNCHES 1000 VARIO GEN4 TRACTOR AND ALL-NEW OPTIMUM PLANTER

Source: AGCO news release

DULUTH, Ga. -- AGCO (NYSE: AGCO), a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural machinery and precision ag technology, today announced the launch of the Fendtâ 1000 Vario® Gen4 tractor and the Fendt Optimumä planter at the 2025 Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois.

The Fendt 1000 Series has long been recognized for delivering tremendous productivity and versatility in high-horsepower applications. That legacy continues with the introduction of the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4. With new, bold styling, this next generation features a modern, commanding look that stands out in the field. New optional interior comforts include foot pegs, an added coolbox and cabin dust extraction for an improved operator experience.

The updated line will be available in four models - 1040, 1044, 1048 and 1052 - ranging from 426 horsepower up to 550 horsepower for the most demanding tillage, heavy-duty seeding and transport work. All new models come standard with the latest 12.4L MAN engine, which includes the Fendt iD™ low-speed concept for increased torque at lower RPMs, and DynamicPerformance for optimized horsepower delivery and improved efficiency.

Equipped for the future, the 1000 Gen4 Series can be optionally unlocked from the factory for PTx OutRun grain cart and tillage automation solutions. OutRun, a pioneering automation system, delivers autonomous operation to increase efficiency, reduce operator fatigue and ensure crops can be harvested on time.

"With the Gen4, we've raised the bar again and not just in terms of power but in operator comfort, fuel efficiency and digital integration," said David Soliday, Senior Marketing Manager at Fendt. "Most importantly, we're preparing customers for the future with the first Fendt tractor that can support autonomous operation through PTx OutRun. There's no other machine on the market more capable, more comfortable or better prepared for what's next."

Alongside the Gen4 launch, Fendt is debuting its first stack-fold planting system, the Fendt Optimum planter. Designed to bring planting precision, capacity and flexibility to operations with stack-fold planters, the Optimum combines transport efficiency with the advanced agronomic features farmers have come to expect from Fendt's Momentum line.

With four separate hinge points and standard wing downforce, the Optimum's stack-fold toolbar automatically flexes to ensure optimal ground contact and uniform depth across uneven or rolling terrain. An optional vertical contouring hitch moves the planter up and down, tilting it forward and back, allowing the toolbar to follow the topography to provide accurate seed placement and even emergence.

The Optimum can be outfitted with row unit seed hoppers or a 55-bushel center fill station, giving farmers the flexibility to choose what works best for their operation. Additionally, Optimum features Precision Planting technology, including a 20|20® display, vSet, vDrive, DeltaForce, SpeedTube, Reveal residue managers and FurrowForce for highly accurate seed placement and superior emergence.

"The Optimum planter is a completely new chapter for Fendt, and we're proud to expand our planter lineup to the stack-fold market without compromising on the precision, flexibility or reliability that farmers expect from Fendt planters," said Arthur Santos, Marketing Manager at Fendt. "No matter the terrain, the Optimum is engineered to deliver unmatched seed placement and agronomic performance at the highest level."

The Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 will be available for order in Q4 2025 with deliveries beginning in 2026, while the Optimum planter will enter pre-sales in 2026.

Additional Fendt updates at the Farm Progress Show include:

*A new dry fertilizer system for the 30-foot Momentum planter

*Model year 2026 upgrades to the Rogator 900 Series applicator, including a 1,580-gallon tank, faster road speeds up to 40 mph and an all-new NL720 spinner spreader system

*Enhancements to Fendt Gold Star Customer Care, now including three years of PTx FarmENGAGE connectivity for model year 2026 equipment
