Clay and Lisa will demystify key concepts such as offsets versus insets, what a carbon credit is, and how carbon sequestered on farms and ranches is measured and verified. The session will outline sustainable practices most often included in programs, explore how ag carbon compares with other efforts like pipelines, and clarify how programs interact with existing conservation or sustainability initiatives. Attendees will learn what carbon buyers expect from farmers and ranchers and unpack concerns around greenwashing.
