Nov. 4, 2025 Source: Council for Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST) news release Ames, Iowa -- The Council for Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST) will release its newest publication, Precision Irrigation Management, during a live webinar on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM Eastern / 12:00 PM Central. This paper explores how advanced irrigation technologies--such as variable-rate irrigation systems, soil and plant sensors, and evapotranspiration (ET)-based decision tools--are helping producers make every drop of water count. By integrating data, automation, and real-time monitoring, precision irrigation enables farmers to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen resilience to climate change.
