Nov. 19, 2025 BrownfieldAgNews reports: The end of the 2025 U.S. corn and soybean harvests are in sight. It's been a mixed fall across much of the Midwest and Plains, with stretches of favorable conditions for harvest and winter crop planting against periods of rain, frost, and even snow, and drought is also an issue in some areas. The USDA says 91% of U.S. corn is harvested, compared to the five-year average of 94%, and 95% of soybeans are harvested, compared to 96% on average. 92% of U.S. winter wheat is planted as of Sunday and 79% has emerged, both behind most years, with 45% of the crop in good to excellent shape, 4% lower than a year ago. The cotton crop is 71% harvested, compared to the usual rate of 72%. 82% of sorghum is harvested, considerably slower than the normal pace of 94%. The USDA's weekly national crop progress and condition reports are scheduled to run through the end of the month. Tweet |
