A move toward clean labels and away from ultra-processed foods, along with increasing GLP-1 adoption, will benefit poultry in 2026. To celebrate and prepare for this shift in chicken consumption, the 2026 Chicken Marketing Summit presentations will focus on the theme "The Protein Moment." The annual executive conference, hosted by WATT Global Media, is scheduled for July 27-29 at the Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida. "Recent data released by Circana reveals that health-conscious consumers now drive $708 billion in annual food and beverage spending. This shift in consumer priorities could change consumer behavior in the future," said Terrence O'Keefe, content director, WATT Global Media. "The Summit will help the chicken supply chain discover opportunities and develop strategy to adapt and thrive." Keynote speaker Kevin Ryan, founder and CEO of Malachite Strategy and Research, will open the conference on July 27 with his presentation "The GLP-1/high-protein consumer opportunity for chicken," discussing how chicken marketers can help satisfy the increased craving for protein. And back by popular demand, the results of the Chicken Consumption Survey will examine how GLP-1 drugs and the shift toward high-protein diets are impacting consumer purchase decisions. Erkin Peksoz with Circana will reveal the trends that keep consumers engaged during his exclusive presentation. Returning in 2026, the Chicken Marketer of the Year award will recognize organizations and companies that demonstrate excellence and innovation in promoting chicken consumption.
