Brodhead, WI -- Kuhn North America, Inc., is pleased to introduce the VT‑PRO strip‑till row unit, an innovative addition to its Gladiator lineup, engineered to meet the agronomic demands of modern growers. Building on the proven Gladiator platform, VT‑PRO delivers a high-quality seedbed at operating speeds of 7-10 mph while precisely placing fertilizer within the strip at 2-5 inches, promoting early root development and nutrient availability.
The VT‑PRO combines speed and precision with a touchscreen display that enables on-the-go adjustment of row cleaners and downforce, ensuring consistent strip formation across varying field conditions. Like the ST‑PRO II, it features sealed bearings and greaseless bushings for maintenance-free operation, along with tool-free adjustments for depth and berm formation. Its wide strip design supports uniform emergence and simplified planting.
Paired with Liqui‑PRO, VT‑PRO enhances nutrient management by applying liquid fertilizer 2-3 inches from the seed zone at rates up to 80 GPM at 10 mph, maximizing uptake and yield potential.
Designed for durability and efficiency, the unit uses a rear basket for accurate depth control and requires just 12-17 HP per row. Compatible with 30‑inch Gladiator toolbars in pull-type and mounted configurations, VT‑PRO excels in spring applications, including rocky or wet conditions--demonstrating Kuhn Krause's commitment to productivity, efficiency, and soil health.
The Gladiator equipped with VT‑PRO row units is available in 3‑point models from 4 to 16 rows and in pull‑type configurations with 12 or 16 rows, all at 30‑inch spacing.
