Source: Agricultural Communicators Network New Prague, MN -- The Agricultural Communicators Network (ACN) and its Professional Improvement Foundation (PIF) elected officers, board members and board of trustees for the coming year during the ACN Annual Business Meeting and the ACN PIF Annual Business Meeting, both held in conjunction with the 2026 Agricultural Media Summit on July 20 in St. Louis. ACN members also approved an amendment to the association's bylaws governing membership dues. ACN Board of Directors Joel Reichenberger, DTN/Progressive Farmer, will serve as president. Betty Haynes, Midwestern Lens, will serve as president-elect, and Joy Crosby, Georgia Peanut Commission/Southeastern Peanut Farmer, moves into the role of past president after leading the organization this past year. Newly elected to the ACN Board of Directors are Clint White, United Sorghum Checkoff Program, who fills an unexpired term ending in 2027, and Mary Kendall Dixon, Informed Ag, and Jennifer Latzke, Farm Progress, to terms expiring in 2029. Continuing directors are Courtney Girgis, Rooted Communications, and Jenny Ring, Precision Planting, with terms expiring in 2027; and Chelsea Dinterman, Successful Farming; Katie Knapp, The Ag Photographer; and Ryan Tipps, AgDaily, with terms expiring in 2028. ACN thanked three directors rotating off the board for their service: Wyatt Bechtel, Bechtel Media; Pam Caraway, Farm Progress; and Rachael Davis, Noble Research Institute. ACN Membership Dues Membership will now run for one year from the date a person joins, rather than January through December. Members approved the change by amending Article III, Section 3, of the ACN bylaws, which replaces "calendar year" with "annual" in the dues language. ACN PIF Board of Trustees The ACN PIF Board of Trustees will retain its current officers for the coming year: Katie Dehlinger, DTN/The Progressive Farmer, chair; Jennifer Shike, Farm Journal's PORK, vice chair; and Holly Spangler, Farm Progress, secretary/treasurer. Newly elected to the ACN PIF Board of Trustees are Greg Hillyer, Progressive Farmer; Harlan Persinger, Hensphotos; and Mike Wilson, Farm Progress, to terms expiring in 2029. Continuing trustees are Emily Unglesbee, Virginia Tech, and Jennifer Warren, Caprock Strategies, with terms expiring in 2027; and Jennifer Carrico, DTN/The Progressive Farmer; Jamie Cole, Red Barn Media Group; and Miranda Reiman, Angus Media, with terms expiring in 2029. PIF thanked three trustees rotating off the board for their service: Lyle Orwig, Certified Ag Dealer; Gil Gullickson, Wallaces Farmer; and Bill Spiegel, The Furrow. ACN PIF Raffle The ACN PIF raffle raised $4,592.28 at this year's Ag Media Summit, with proceeds supporting the awards contest, scholarships, regional workshops and professional development. The drawing was held at 1 p.m. on July 21 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch. Winners were Harlan Persinger, first prize, a Hadrick Ranch package; Bill Spiegel, second prize, an Amana Meats gift card; and Eric Washington, third prize, 2027 Ag Media Summit registration. PIF thanked prize donors Hadrick Ranch and the National Pork Board.
