CORTEVA SOYBEAN HERBICIDE ENCLOSA APPROVED BY EPA, ADVANCES TO STATE'S APPROVAL
Source: Corteva news release

Indianapolis, IN -- Enclosa herbicide is a soybean residual herbicide that delivers powerful weed control with flexible tank-mix compatibility and application timing from preplant through postemergence. Enclosa contains two strong modes of action -- a proprietary encapsulated acetochlor (Group 15) and cloransulam (Group 2) -- making it a strong fit in a program approach to weed control and resistance management.

When applied preemergence, Enclosa provides residual control of broadleaf and grass weeds before they emerge. In postemergence applications, Enclosa controls select broadleaf weeds while also establishing a residual barrier to help prevent future weed emergence.

Strong weed control

When applied preemergence, Enclosa herbicide delivers up to four weeks of extended residual control on 21 broadleaf weeds, including Palmer amaranth, waterhemp, marestail and velvetleaf, as well as 15 problematic grass weeds.

When applied postemergence, Enclosa provides up to four weeks of residual weed control, along with systemic control of key emerged broadleaf weeds, including marestail, velvetleaf and giant ragweed, through canopy closure.

Proven convenience and flexibility

Enclosa offers a wide application window from preplant through postemergence, helping growers better navigate challenging weather conditions and application delays. It can also be used as a burndown application ahead of soybeans with no plant-back restrictions.

Enclosa comes in an easy-to-use premix and tank-mixes well with other soybean herbicides, making it an effective foundational product in a program approach to weed control. Only one-half inch of moisture is needed for activation.

Geographic versatility

Across the Northern Plains, Corn Belt and Ohio Valley, Enclosaâ„¢ is a strong foundational herbicide in pre- and postemergence tank mixes with metribuzin or sulfentrazone to manage key ALS- and PPO-resistant weeds, including Palmer amaranth, waterhemp and marestail.

In Southern soybean production systems, Enclosa is a cost-effective foundational preemergence herbicide that retailers and applicators can tank-mix with other actives to control key weeds such as velvetleaf, morningglory and Palmer amaranth.
