SPECTRUM TECHNOLOGIES INTRODUCES THE NEW SC 950 SOIL COMPACTION METER

Aurora, IL -- Spectrum Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of plant measurement technology announces its third generation FieldScout SC 950 Soil Compaction Meter, an advanced Bluetooth-enabled penetrometer designed to identify soil compaction throughout the root zone.
Soil compaction is a common challenge resulting from repeated equipment traffic and field operations under wet conditions. Excessive compaction can limit root development, nutrient uptake, and negatively impact crop yield and profit.
Using an ultrasonic sensor, the SC 950 determines measurement depth from 0 to 18 inches (1-Inch Increments), with compaction index values displayed in PSI (Pounds/ Square Inch).
Integrated Bluetooth connectivity allows the SC 950 to connect with the FieldScout Mobile App and forward geo-referenced data to the SpecConnect cloud platform for additional data visualization and assessment.
