![]() Nov. 1, 2006 Source: Golden Harvest After 36 years in the seed business, Doug Robinson is taking some well-earned time away from work in the form of retirement. Robinson served as the head of national brand communications for the past two years. Prior to that, he was the senior vice president of JC Robinson Seeds, Inc. Robinson worked in many phases of the business, including a 20-year stint as advertising manager and chair of the Golden Harvest marketing committee. "I want to thank everyone I've worked with over the years," Robinson said. "Your efforts have inspired me and improved the lives of growers all across the country." He was also chairman of the U.S. Grains Council in 1999-2000 and held leadership roles with Nebraska Leadership Education/Action Development (LEAD), National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA), Nebraska Seedsmen Association and several other organizations. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Robinson earned a degree in Agricultural Science before returning to Waterloo to join JC Robinson Seeds. Robinson and his wife, Gina, plan on traveling extensively and spending time with their two grandchildren. Tweet |
