AMVAC'S IMPACT HERBICIDE TO BE INCLUDED IN PIONEER'S TRUCHOICE PROGRAM
Source: AMVAC news release

American Vanguard Corporation (NYSE:AVD), announced that its subsidiary, AMVAC Chemical Corporation, has entered into an agreement with DuPont (NYSE:DD) Crop Protection to offer AMVAC's newly launched corn herbicide, IMPACT 2.8SC, in the TruChoice Opportunity Program.

Purchases of IMPACT corn herbicide will qualify for the TruChoice Opportunity Program, offered through Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc, a DuPont subsidiary.
The TruChoice Opportunity Program is a financing program for growers purchasing DuPont-approved crop protection products and Pioneer brand seed products. Under the agreement, corn growers and seed corn growers who purchase IMPACT herbicide between Nov. 1, 2006, and Oct. 31, 2007, will qualify for program financing.

IMPACT herbicide, which was successfully introduced in 2006, offers broad-spectrum control of key broadleaf weeds in corn, plus bonus GrassAssistTM control of important grasses. The low-use-rate systemic herbicide also offers excellent crop safety on all types of corn. In addition to field corn, it is labeled for use on sensitive corn types, including seed corn, sweet corn and popcorn.
IMPACT herbicide is the only post-emergence corn herbicide with the HPPD mode of activity to be included in the TruChoice Opportunity Program.

"Participation in this program is a great opportunity for IMPACT herbicide and for growers who can benefit from its unique capabilities to control both broadleaf weeds and important grass species," said Ted Ramirez, AMVAC director of marketing. "The inclusion of IMPACT in the TruChoice Opportunity Program shows the confidence that both DuPont Crop Protection and Pioneer Hi-Bred International place in our product's performance."

"With this addition to the corn herbicide product portfolio in the TruChoice Opportunity Program, farmers have another tool to add value to their herbicide programs," said Kevin Staska, corn product manager, DuPont Crop Protection. "This agreement supports DuPont's vision of meeting the world demand for sustainable food, feed, fiber and fuel."
