RFD-TV TO LAUNCH SECOND CHANNEL--RFD HD (HIGH DEFINITION)
Source: RFD-TV news release

Rural Media Group, Inc., Omaha, NE, announces the launch of its second 24-hour network-RFD HD - the nation's first high-definition television channel which will expand on the family-oriented rural programming format which has proven to be so popular throughout the country on RFD-TV.

With rural lifestyle, equine, agricultural, and video auctions to traditional music and entertainment-RFD HD will bring it all in a 1080i high-definition format creating even more original programming from the network's wide-variety of independent program producers combined with in-house productions, remotes from a new, mobile HD production truck, as well as, weekly shows from the stage of RFD-TV The Theatre in Branson, Missouri

"RFD HD is an ideal complement to the diverse and original programming delivered by RFD-TV," said Ed Frazier, RFD-TV COO. "Our scenic content and country lifestyle features lend themselves to excellent HD presentations. RFD HD will be the perfect home for all video auctions to expand their broadcasts, as high definition will only enhance the picture quality of the cattle, horses, or equipment being offered for sale, directly benefiting the buyers, sellers and viewing public. What could be more stunning than rural America in HD?"

RFD HD will officially launch in the fall of 2007 on many of the same satellite and cable systems currently carrying RFD-TV, which now include DIRECTV, DISH Network, Mediacom, Charter, Suddenlink, Bresnan, NRTC, and numerous NCTC independent operators in all 50 states. Distribution for RFD HD will be uplinked via satellite from Northstar Studios in Nashville, Tennessee on Intelsat Galaxy 13, and is being packaged with other high-definition channels on a basic digital tier.

RFD-TV The Magazine will carry both program schedules in each issue.

"For the past seven years RFD-TV has strived to bring relevant, wholesome and meaningful information and entertainment to a market with interest in rural lifestyle," said Patrick Gottsch, Founder and President of RFD-TV.

"What we have found is that not only is our unique and unduplicated programming filling a huge void to the 27 million homes outside of incorporated areas, but more and more people are looking to capture the heart of the country in their city homes. RFD HD will utilize this exciting new technology to bring the rural lifestyle to the growing number of HD viewers, while doubling our own program capacity"

RFD HD is expected to add 55 new employees to support the daily operations of the new network. Programming will originate from the company's existing broadcast headquarters and offices located at Northstar Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.
