FARM JOURNAL MEDIA TO HOST WORLD'S LARGEST ROUNDTABLE GATHERING OF MARKET ANALYSTS
Source: Farm Journal Media news release

Farm Journal Media is proud to announce its new event, Marketing Rally 2009, which will bring together 16 of the best marketing minds in agriculture. This event will feature the world's largest marketing roundtable, with all 16 advisers participating in a live taping of "U.S. Farm Report."

The inaugural Marketing Rally 2009 is slated for December 3-4, 2009, in Chicago, IL, at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel. This historic gathering provides producers unprecedented access to the best marketing minds in agriculture-all under one roof. The format of the meeting will allow growers the chance to meet the analysts and get a taste of which expert fits their needs and marketing style.

Hosted by Chip Flory, Pro Farmer Editor and marketing expert, and Al Pell, AgriBusiness Director for "AgDay" and "U.S. Farm Report," the live taping will provide an energized format to display the marketing acumen of each of the experts-and provide attendees with a snapshot of the abilities and marketing approach of each of the roundtable participants.

"We're incredibly excited to give farmers the opportunity to tap into the expertise of these premier market analysts," says Charlene Finck, FARM JOURNAL Editor. "Considering all the volatility in the marketplace these days, there's never been a better or more appropriate time to launch this event."

Marketing analyst participants include:

*Dan Basse, Ag Resource;

*Brian Basting, Advance Trading;

*Bill Biederman, Allendale;

*Jim Bower, Bower Trading;

*Richard Brock, Brock Associates;

*Alan Brugler, Brugler Marketing;

*Mike Florez, Florez Trading;

*Chip Flory, Pro Farmer;

*Mark Gold, Top Third Marketing;

*Jerry Gulke, Strategic Marketing Services and TOP PRODUCER Economist;

*Gregg Hunt, MF Global;

*Gavin Maguire, EHedger;

*Sue Martin, Ag & Investment Services, Inc.;

*Kevin McNew, Cash Grain Bids;

*Scott Stewart, Stewart-Peterson; and

*Bob Utterback, Utterback Marketing and Farm Journal Economist.

Following the general session, producers can use breakout sessions and the Marketing Expert Expo to learn more and make one-on-one connections with the gurus. Eight breakouts will be offered, with event goers choosing four to attend. The conference will close with a panel of producers providing feedback on what they need from analysts and insight into what they see happening in the marketing year ahead.
