Feb. 4, 2010 Source: Wells Fargo news release Wells Fargo & Company has named John Carley head of its protein sector - a sector in the company's Food and Agribusiness Commercial Banking Group. Based in Chicago, Carley will also be responsible for business development in Indiana, Ohio, the Southeast and parts of Illinois. He will report to John Weubbe, senior vice president and industry manager for Wells Fargo's Food and Agribusiness industry specialty group. "As one of the leading financial services provider among commercial banks to agricultural businesses, Wells Fargo remains committed to helping our customers succeed," said Tim Billerbeck, executive vice president and head of Wells Fargo's Commercial Banking Central Division. "John's extensive industry experience will help grow our agribusiness commercial banking practice and provide superior service to our growing customer base." Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Carley was vice president at BMO Capital Markets' Food and Consumer Group protein division in Chicago. Established in 2005, Wells Fargo's Food and Agribusiness industry specialty group provides financial services to companies competing in the food and fiber sectors throughout the Central and Eastern portions of the United States. Wells Fargo Commercial Banking serves companies from $10-$750 million in annual revenues through 113 offices nationwide and the internet. Nationally, Commercial Banking provides credit, treasury management, investment products, and financial services to middle-market customers.
