Feb. 8, 2010 Source: Farm Journal Media news release Farm Journal Media (FJM) today announces new features and capabilities for client research at its Customer Call Center in Webster City, Iowa. "We've just launched an entirely new communications platform, enhancing not only our own circulation qualification capabilities, but also adding several sophisticated capabilities that our clients have requested," says Jeff Pence, president of Database Strategies at FJM. "We serve a wide variety of client and agency needs-but now we're able to do so much more." As a company-owned operation, the Farm Journal Webster City Call Center is unique in agriculture media. In addition to extensive research activities, the company conducts 1,500 to 1,800 phone interviews each day, updating circulation records for its magazines plus the nearly 100 points of data on its FarmReachTM database. New capabilities now include the capture of results with "real-time" online reporting, live transfer of calls (e.g., to a client rep) and remote client monitoring. Further, survey data can be appended to the FarmReach database and client's data file. "We can now complete any kind of client telephone survey or research project, using their data or ours...from the most simple to very complex," adds Sara Chaleen, Call Center operations manager. "It's a great package of services." "For nearly 45 years, Farm Journal has been talking directly with growers every day from our Webster City facility," Pence adds. "We talk ag and they trust us. By using Farm Journal, our clients get to take advantage of this new technology, but more important, our expertise and connectivity in the market."
