![]() Mar. 16, 2010 Source: Charleston|Orwig news release Two individuals with extensive agricultural backgrounds have joined the Charleston|Orwig agricultural account service and public relations departments. Shane Dailey has joined the Agricultural Account Service department as an account executive, and Katie Knapp now works with the Public Relations team as a public relations writer. Shane Dailey "Shane's strong background in agriculture and his agency experience, determination and enthusiasm will be a great asset to our account service team," says vice president Marcy Tessmann. "His broad range of experience and knowledge in developing marketing strategies, tactical plan campaigns and project management will bring many great benefits to our clients." Prior to joining Charleston|Orwig Dailey worked for VistaComm and Paulsen Marketing in Sioux Falls, SD, as account planner and account executive. Other previous experience includes work with KDLT-TV in Sioux Falls as director of marketing and creative services, focusing on livestock nutrition and producer-funded organizations. Katie Knapp "Katie brings a wealth of knowledge and talent to our agency," said Mike Opperman, public relations director. "Her experience in agricultural communications will prove to be a positive asset to our clients; she is a welcome addition to our public relations staff." Knapp joins Charleston|Orwig with prior experience as an assistant account manager with Martin|Williams Advertising, Minneapolis, MN, where she served as an agency liaison to clients and helped manage day-to-day account activity. Prior to that, Katie worked for AdFarm in Kansas City, MO, as an account executive. She also has held internships with Osborn and Barr Communications, COUNTRY Insurance & Financial Services, Mary Auth Marketing and PR Strategies, and Colleen Callahan Communications.
