NEW FERTILIZER BUYING GROUP FORMED

Three large cooperatives have formed a partnership for the purpose of sourcing fertilizer.
The three co-ops involved are Central Valley Ag, headquartered in O'Neill, Nebraska; South Dakota Wheat Growers of Aberdeen, South Dakota; and, Farmers Cooperative Company, based in Ames, Iowa.
Their new fertilizer entity is called Consolidated Sourcing Solutions.
Officials say the partnership will better position the three co-ops to compete in the Midwest fertilizer market.
