![]() Jul. 22, 2010 Source: Farmer, Lumpe + McClelland Farmer, Lumpe + McClelland Advertising Agency (FLM) has announced the addition of account executive Lisa Smith to its team. Smith will offer communications, issues management and special events expertise for FLM and its clients. Smith will be based in Washington, D.C. "We are pleased to have Lisa on board," said FLM president Rob McClelland. "Lisa's background, combined with her experience with conservation and production agriculture, makes her the ideal addition to our growing team." Smith most recently served as director of communications for the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) in Washington, D.C. During her five-year tenure at NACD, Smith managed communication and outreach efforts and worked closely with the Association's legislative and member services teams. Prior to her time at NACD, Smith was a communications associate at the National Pork Producers Council, where she served as a liaison between environmental consultants, government officials, and producers. Smith was raised on a third-generation corn, wheat, bean and beef cattle operation in southeast Wyoming. She holds bachelor's degrees in marketing and communications from Michigan State University. "It's an exciting time to join FLM," Smith said. "The agency's leaders have a clear understanding of issues facing rural America and the creativity to provide innovative solutions.
