Novariant, Inc., announces that its board of directors has appointed Chris Ragot to serve as the company's president and chief executive officer.
"I am very excited about this opportunity," says Chris Ragot. "The company pioneered GPS control systems in the agricultural market. With our AutoFarm division having just recently introduced ParaDyme, the world's first totally integrated precision farming system, we continue the focus on helping our dealers and their farm producer customers be more efficient and more successful in their businesses."
"Chris Ragot was most recently president and CEO of FreightCar America, Inc. (NASDAQ: RAIL) where he led a profitable public company through multiple business cycles," says Jim Gibbons, chairman, Novariant, Inc. "Prior to FreightCar America, Inc., Chris spent the majority of his career with Terex Corporation and Ingersoll-Rand Company in various executive and senior level management positions from 1984 to 2007."
Gibbons adds, "Having spent most of his career in the capital equipment industry where he developed a strong foundation of financial, operations and commercial skills, we are confident that Chris can lead us to new levels of success and accomplishment in the markets we serve."
