TOPCON PRECISION AGRICULTURE NAMES NEW PRESIDENT

Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) has announced the promotion of Albert Zahalka to president of its Topcon Precision Agriculture (TPA) business unit.
Zahalka joined TPA as senior vice president in early 2010. "Thanks to Albert's leadership we have continued our growth in Australia, and increased our business around the world," said Ray O'Connor, TPS president and CEO. "Albert has an incredible knowledge of the worldwide agriculture market and his continued leadership as president is critical for the expansion of our agriculture business."
In his new position, Zahalka will continue to provide global leadership for TPA, with specific responsibility for business development in Europe, South America and China. "These growth markets are ideally suited for the new precision farming technology TPA continues to roll out," Zahalka said. "With the focused sales management of Carlos Monreal, vice president of global agriculture, we anticipate rapid business growth in the European Union and South American markets."
Topcon Precision Agriculture is a business unit of Topcon Positioning Systems, Inc. (TPS). TPS designs and manufactures precise positioning products and solutions for the global surveying, construction, agriculture, civil engineering, mapping and GIS, asset management and mobile control markets.
