Feb. 3, 2011 Farm Progress reports: Farm Progress introduces its Beef Producer app and Beef Producer e-newsletter, two new information-driven products for beef operators. The free Beef Producer app, which includes easily navigated pages and additional features, operates on Android and iPhone smartphones. The bimonthly Beef Producer e-newsletter launches February 3 and is to be delivered to beef operators across the nation. The two new marketing tools present ag marketers with unmatched frequency-building beef marketing tools. The app and e-newsletter media tools complement the demographically driven Beef Producer feature section published within Farm Progress state and regional publications and its companion website www.BeefProducer.com. Additionally, the Farm Progress Show and Husker Harvest Days shows feature designated beef and livestock showcase areas that give marketers prime one on-one interaction opportunities with beef producers. "Content has driven audience development with all our digital products," said Jeff Lapin, Farm Progress president. "The result is industry-leading visits and page views for our websites and in-demand apps and e-newsletters that provide tremendous content for our readers. Our goal is to deliver digital products with "need now" content for our users, and exceptional reach and leverage for ag marketers." Beef operators now have greater access to timely and topical beef production news, commodity quotes, editorial commentary and market analyst evaluations with the new Beef Producer app. The Beef Producer app is free and available in the Android Market and iTunes. Locate the app in either marketplace by searching for "Beef Producer." The Blackberry app version will be introduced in early spring. Download Android version here, deploy from your Android device. Download iPhone version here, deploy from your iPhone. Twice monthly, beef operators will receive the latest beef industry news, markets and additional content with the Beef Producer e-newsletter. A majority of the e-newsletter's content links to www.BeefProducer.com and will build even greater website use. The initial circulation of the e-newsletter is more than 26,000 beef operators. "As we have developed and introduced our apps, producers are enthusiastic about each one," says Willie Vogt, Farm Progress corporate editorial director. "Now, with the Beef Producer app and the e-newsletter, we worked with producers to help us formulate a key set of news, analysis and commodity quotes to keep beef operators informed. Beef producers immediately recognize the value of these types of information tools." Farm Progress continues to experience great acceptance and success online through its aggressive digital initiatives that include its 18 state and regional magazine websites (accessible via www.FarmProgress.com), FarmFutures.com, BeefProducer.com, FarmProgressShow.com, HuskerHarvestDays.com and additional show websites. Its mobile Web access was first in the industry, as well. The company's industry-leading website visits page-view and site engagement stats underscore its digital accomplishments. The Beef Producer app marks Farm Progress' third app developed for the agricultural market. Previously, the exclusive Farm Progress Growing Degree Days app and the Farm Futures app have been developed and are available in the Android Market and iTunes/Apple App Store by searching for "Growing Degree Days" or "Farm Futures."
