Here's what they reported were the top five opportunities: 1. Precision custom application services, 2. Precision ag services and information, 3. Sale of seed, 4. Closer partnerships with input manufacturers, and 5. Traditional agronomic services (scouting, soil testing, etc.). Here's what they reported were the top five threats: 1. Direct sales to farmers by manufacturers of crop inputs, 2. Access to quality employees/labor, 3. Insurance cost and availability, 4. Broker-type sales of crop inputs by retail competitors, and 5.
