BROWNFIELD NAMES FARM BROADCASTER FOR ITS NEW OHIO NETWORK, HIRES MEGHAN GREBNER
BrownfieldAgNews reports:

Brownfield, Ag News for America, is pleased to announce Veteran Farm Broadcaster Dave Russell is the Farm Director of the new Brownfield Ohio Ag News Radio Network.

"There is no one better suited to serve as Farm Director for the new Brownfield Ohio Ag News Radio Network," said Cyndi Young, Brownfield Farm Director.

"Having the opportunity to go back to my home state is exciting," said Russell. "I'm looking forward to helping build Brownfield Ohio, but even more, I'm looking forward to telling Ohio's tremendous agricultural story."

Russell's farm broadcasting career spans several decades. His radio and television experience began at WRFD in Columbus, Ohio. During his broadcast tenure, he served as Farm Director at WOWO in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and as the Indiana voice for Tribune Radio Networks.

In addition to his stellar career in farm broadcasting, Dave Russell has covered agriculture for Baxter Communications, an Indianapolis based video production company; served Indiana agriculture as Director Information/Public Relations for Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc.; and was the Agricultural Liaison for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management prior to joining Brownfield Ag News in 2006.

For the past 5 years, Russell has served as Indiana Brownfield Farm Director. He will work closely with Meghan Grebner, who joins the Brownfield Ag News team in Indiana. She had been with WMBD/WIRL in Peoria, IL, and is Regional VP-East for the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB).

MEGHAN GREBNER

Brownfield, Ag News for America, is pleased to announce Meghan Grebner is joining the Brownfield Ag News Team. Grebner will be based in Indiana.

"Meghan's experience in production agriculture and local radio, coupled with her love for and understanding of agriculture and the people who are the backbone of the industry, make her a true asset to the Brownfield team," said Cyndi Young, Brownfield Farm Director.

"I am eager to join the well respected team at Brownfield," Grebner said. "Indiana has such a rich agricultural history. I look forward to covering the industry that I love and exploring Indiana agriculture."

Grebner grew up on a diversified family farm in central Illinois. She majored in Communications and Animal Science in college and managed a farrow to finish swine operation in Virginia before moving back to the Midwest. Grebner spent 9 years with JMP Radio Group in Peoria, where she has served as Agri-Business Director for stations WMBD and WIRL since 2007.

A graduate of the Illinois Ag Leadership Program, Grebner was awarded the 2009 National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) Horizon Award, which recognizes the top new farm broadcaster in the country. She currently serves as NAFB East Region Vice-President.

With the backing of an award winning team of nine full-time farm broadcasters, two of whom are dedicated to market coverage, Grebner will have ample time for local, on-the-ground coverage of Indiana agriculture. Brownfield's Dave Russell, who has been based in Indiana for the past 5 years, will work closely with Grebner from his new location in Columbus, Ohio.
