May 20, 2011 Agri Marketing magazine reports: Prominent farm broadcaster Lindsay Hill was killed in a two vehicle accident early this morning just west of Springfield, OH. Details of the accident are under investigation. She was the current President of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) and had recently joined Farm Journal Media as AgriBusiness Director for its AgDay and U.S. Farm Report TV programs. Prior, she and her husband Andy Vance founded the Buckeye Ag Radio Network in 2005 and acquired the Agri Broadcast Network in early 2007. It was headquartered in Columbus, OH. She was selected by The Ohio State University Alumni Association as a recipient of the 2008 William Oxley Thompson Award for Early Career Achievement. "This is obviously a shocking loss," said Jeff Pence, president of Farm Journal's television division. "While Lindsay was only with our company a very short time, in her very young career in ag-media she had already developed a distinguished level of respect and leadership across our industry. She will be greatly missed. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family, and those who had the privilege of being a part of her life." Tweet |
