Douglas Hansen, AFM, Omaha, Nebraska, received the award for conservation work completed on a Fremont County, Iowa, farm. Jim Tibbles, AFM, CGA, Omaha, Nebraska, received the award for conservation work completed on a Washington County, Nebraska, farm. The awards were presented at Farmers National Company's conference in Omaha, Nebraska. "The awards program," according to Jim Farrell, AFM, Farmers National Company President and CEO, "was originated in 1989 to honor selected Farmers National Company farm managers for excellence in service to our clients. The farm manager, the landowner, and the farm operator all play an integral part in a conservation plan's implementation." Farrell added that the Wes Furrer Conservation Award is named for a former president of Farmers National Company.
