VANCE NAMES NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER FOR ITS GREENBOOK GROUP
Source: Vance Publishing news release

Philip Donahoo has joined Vance Publishing Corp. as Business Development Manager for The Greenbook Group, the Vance business focused on providing crop protection chemical data to the agriculture marketplace.

Donahoo previously was the Product Manager for BASF's crop protection business unit at Raleigh-Durham, N.C. He also held sales and marketing positions in BASF's turf and ornamental group and professional vegetation group, and earned a bachelor's degree in horticulture from Texas A&M University.

"The Greenbook Group recently redesigned its crop-protection products," said Don Ransdell, vice president/publishing director of Vance Publishing. "We will be capitalizing on Philip's expertise in new product launches and his familiarity with Greenbook's portfolio of offerings to ensure that these new services and products realize their full market potential."

The Greenbook Group's new product line consists of 23 separate print directories, each covering a different crop or product category and available at varying price points. The company also provides online access to data and is enhancing Greenbook Mobile, the dedicated mobile site where customers can search for products by state, product name, crop site, and specific crop, and view specific rates of application indexed by crop, pest and application method.

"The reformulation of The Greenbook Group's product offerings has made them significantly more valuable to the end-user," said Donahoo. "The opportunity to develop a marketing strategy to identify and evaluate potential new customers and strengthen relationships with our existing client base is what drew me to this job. Like the rest of the agriculture community, I am very familiar with the Greenbook brand, and I welcome the chance to contribute to its continued success."

The Greenbook Group is part of Vance Publishing Corp., a leading B2B integrated media company serving the agriculture, beauty and professional woodworking markets. The company produces 15 magazines, more than 100 newsletters, over 30 websites, several trade shows and events, a subscription-based data product set, and custom media products.

Founded in 1937, Vance Publishing is headquartered in Lincolnshire, Ill., with additional offices in Lenexa, Kan., and St. Louis, Mo.
