SCOTTS PROFESSIONAL RENAMED EVERRIS
Source: Everris news release

At a landmark event last month in Charleston, SC, executives from Scotts Professional and ICL Specialty Fertilizers (the acquiring division of ICL Fertilizers) announced a new name for the Global Professional business: Everris.

Representing the term "ever rising", the name Everris is symbolic of the new company's commitment to further enhance the technologies, products and services it offers to green industry professionals worldwide. In addition to its English meaning, the name also represents the French, Italian and Spanish terms for "green"-"vert" and "verde."

As part of the introduction to the new company, it was also announced that Ariana Cohen, president of ICL Premium Fertilizers NA, will take on the same role for Everris in the Americas. Cohen has more than 20 years of domestic and international sales and marketing experience in the fertilizer industry and will operate both companies as separate entities in North and South America.

With the acquisition of Scotts Professional, ICL Specialty Fertilizers will more than double its global business which focuses on the production of superior quality and cost effective specialty fertilizers serving the world's agriculture market. By offering a complete nutrition program, ICL Specialty Fertilizers aims to provide growers with higher yields and better quality, in spite of scarce water and limited arable land.

Building upon the strengths of Scotts Professional and ICL Specialty Fertilizers, Everris will continue developing the world's most highly efficient, leading-edge plant nutrition brands and products. ICL Premium Fertilizers will continue as a primary supplier of monopotassium phosphate (MKP) under the brand name Peak for the horticulture, tech and food markets. They will also continue to sell other potassium, phosphate-based fertilizers and magnesium nitrate in the Americas.

"Both organizations have the drive, focus and expertise necessary to strengthen their global positions," Cohen said. "I look forward to leading Everris and ICL Premium Fertilizers to provide the best possible products for the specialty agriculture, professional horticulture and turf industries in our region."
