THE ANDERSONS BEGINS USING WHEAT IN ITS EASTERN CORN BELT ETHANOL PLANTS Jul. 20, 2011
Source: The Brock Report
The Andersons Inc. has reportedly started replacing 10% of the corn being used at three ethanol plants in the eastern Corn Belt with wheat as a temporary cost saving measure.
In addition to lowering the cost of producing ethanol, this is also a way to stretch nearly depleted corn supplies in that part of the country.
The Andersons have plants in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan with a total capacity of 300 MGPY.
