SOY EXPORT COUNCIL NAMES DIRECTOR OF COMMERCIALIZATION AND MARKETING
American Soybean Association (ASA) reports:

U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) CEO Jim Sutter announced this week that Ed Beaman has accepted the position of Director of Commercialization and Marketing.

In his role, Beaman will work to assure that the U.S. soy processing and exporting industry are integrated into international marketing programs and activities.

Currently, he is the value chain component leader for a large U.S. Agency for International Development agricultural project in Azerbaijan, the largest country in the Caucasus region of Eurasia. He has been working outside the U.S. since 2005 managing donor development projects designed to improve value chain productivity, increase rural incomes and help bring stability to transitioning economies.

A native of Iowa, Beaman began his agribusiness career in 1979 with John Deere Co. in Des Moines. Beaman will join USSEC's headquarters in St. Louis in October.
