U.S. GRAINS COUNCIL TEAMS WITH FARMER, LUMPE + MCCLELLAND FOR STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS
Source:Farmer, Lumpe + McClelland news release

The U. S. Grains Council (USGC) has teamed with Farmer, Lumpe + McClelland (FLM) to orchestrate a strategic communications initiative to further enforce understanding and appreciation of the value that trade of U.S. coarse grains means for economies of the United States and its many trading partners around the world.

"Having witnessed firsthand the effectiveness of the FLM team in strategically positioning other organizations, I am pleased we could join forces with them in this crucial initiative for the U.S. Grains Council," said Thomas C. Dorr, USGC President and CEO. "FLM understands farmer-directed commodity programs and agribusinesses, which are the organizations that drive the U.S. Grains Council. They know how to work collaboratively to activate a truly inside-out approach to align our core mission with the goals of our stakeholders."

The U.S. Grains Council is a private, non-profit partnership of farmers and agribusinesses committed to building and expanding international markets for U.S. barley, corn, grain sorghum and their products. The Council is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and has 10 international offices that oversee programs in more than 50 countries.

"FLM is honored for this opportunity to put our experience and passion for American farmers and their profitability to work with USGC and its membership," said Rob McClelland, agency president. "Robust world trade is essential, not only to farmers and agribusiness but also for rural communities, our national economy and food security around the world. USGC realizes that effective communications plays a key role in successful implementation of its organizational strategy."
