Oct. 27, 2011 Agri Marketing magazine reports: In its recently-released first half report on advertising expenditures in BtoB magazines, IMS reports that agriculturally-oriented publications had an 11% gain in 2011 compared to 2010. Total investment in the ag category was $121 million for the year, a $13 million increase over the prior year. Ag publications had the fifth largest increase among the 22 industries measured in the IMS report. Overall, the investment in b-to-b publications during the first half was $3.9 billion, up 5% for the year. The highest increase was in the "Business, Advertising & Marketing" category at 25%. Second was "Transportation Logistics" followed by "Movies, Radio, TV and Videos." Largest decreases were reported in "Restaurants, Foodservice, Lodging and Gaming" (11%).
