SUCCESSFUL FARMING'S AGRICULTURE.COM RELEASES NEW MOBILE SITE

Last week, Agriculture.com released an updated mobile version of the leading agriculture site. The updated mobile site, m.agriculture.com, now features an up-to-the-minute markets ticker, video, upgraded weather coverage and in-depth news and markets analysis.
"After the mobile site was originally launched, we took the next step and found out what farmers are still looking for in a mobile site as well as what's been proven to work with the first version," said John Walter, Executive Editor of Agriculture.com. "Farmers appear to use three or more sites or apps to get their daily information. Now, they can bookmark m.agriculture.com for one quick visit."
On the homepage for the mobile site, you immediately see four main categories, a markets ticker and the top stories of the day. These are all touch links and the stories are accessed easily via a slide motion. There is also a new spot for useful ag-related mobile apps.
"Mobile devices are meant to make people's lives more convenient; we accomplished that with our refreshed mobile site," said Walter. "App stores are full of apps to look through - it can be overwhelming. With our featured apps section, we give a detailed description plus a link to the store to download."
Users will find the tried and true mobile features, such as Successful Farming magazine content and content from Agriculture.com categories like machinery, family, farm management, and crops still available, but there will be many more opportunities for farmers and agri-marketers.
