DTN/THE PROGRESSIVE FARMER ANNOUNCES ITS 2012 AG SUMMIT
Source: DTN/The Progressive Farmer news release

Join DTN/The Progressive Farmer in Chicago, December 10-12 for the 2012 Ag Summit. Experts from DTN/The Progressive Farmer will help attendees assess North America's competitive advantages and market challenges as the world powers up for unprecedented - and potentially volatile - growth in ag trade.

Confirmed to speak at this year's Ag Summit is Carl Casale, president and CEO of CHS, a diversified global energy, grains and foods business and the nation's largest cooperative. Casale will share his bird's-eye view of global grain markets, fertilizers and refined fuels. Additional keynote speakers will be added throughout 2012; please check www.dtnprogressivefarmer.com/agsummit for updates.

A special preview session on December 9 will develop estate and income tax case studies of particular interest to farm families who have seen windfalls from land appreciation and increased net worth in recent years. The bountiful farm economy has the side effect of exposing more families to six figure federal tax bills at death, on top of possible state taxes and severe liquidity issues for heirs. Case studies on estate and income tax will provide insight into how farm families with assets approaching $5-10 million can best plan their estates.

Registration for the 2012 Ag Summit opens on June 1, 2012. For more information, visit www.dtnprogressivefarmer.com.
