BIOTECH NOW SUPPORTED BY GREENPEACE FOUNDER Jun. 25, 2012
Red River Farm Network reports:
The founder of Greenpeace is now a proponent of biotechnology in agriculture.
Dr. Patrick Moore addressed the Novozymes BioAg Bioinnovations 'Sustainable Answers on Common Connections Conference' in Sacramento, California.
According to Moore, who has since left Greenpeace, "These are great breakthroughs in our ability to improve nutrition, productivity and medicine through the use of genetic science.
"We've been using genetic science for 10,000 years in breeding plants and animals to make their food better for us and more productive, but now we have a great leap with this knowledge of being able to transfer genes from one species to another."
