BECK AG RELEASES RESULTS OF STUDY ON IMPACT OF EXPERIENCE-SHARING MARKETING
Source: Beck Ag news release

Beck Ag, the leading provider of experience-sharing strategies for the ag industry, recently had members of its Ag Insight® team survey more than 2,500 ag professionals to measure the impact of participating in Beck Ag experience-sharing strategies. For comparison, quantitative surveys were also completed by an equivalent control group.

Overall, the study found that 90 percent of those who have participated in a Beck Ag strategies said that participating had an impact on their buying behavior. Additional highlights from the study include:

1. Participation in a Beck Ag strategy doubled adoption rates.

a. Prospects who were target customers of Beck Ag clients who DID NOT participate in a Beck Ag strategy had adoption rates around 12 percent.

b. Prospects who were target customers of our clients who PARTICIPATED in a Beck Ag strategy had adoption rates around 23 percent.

2. Participation not only influenced current behaviors, but also future intentions.

a. When target customers participate in a Beck Ag strategy, the average intentions for their future use almost doubles. (Participants ~24% will use again, while non-participants ~13% will use next year).

3. Reach of strategy goes beyond the participant.

a. Participants of Beck Ag strategies also influenced the behavior of others (family members, business partners, other growers) and shared information with them regarding their experience.

b. 71 percent of past Beck Ag participants reported sharing the information they learned with others. Of those that shared, they reported sharing with an average of 8 individuals.

"We're pleased with the outcomes from this survey," said Stephanie Liska, CEO of Beck Ag. "One of the differentiating traits of experience-sharing marketing is its ability to be measured. We consistently measure each strategy we facilitate, so not only do we get to track the value of our work--- our clients do, too."

*The results from this study were consistent with similar previous studies done by Purdue University in 2004 and an additional Ag Insight study done in 2010. To date, more than 4,500 ag professionals have been interviewed to measure the impact of Beck Ag experience-sharing marketing strategies.
