Feb. 28, 2013 Source: Koch Agronomic Services news release Koch Agronomic Services, LLC (KAS) is growing rapidly within the enhanced efficiency fertilizer segment, demonstrating its commitment to this important market. Over the past six months, the company has added 15 new employees in roles supporting customer service and commercial operations. Since its formation by parent company Koch Fertilizer, LLC in 2010, KAS has expanded its footprint in the enhanced efficiency fertilizer segment continuously: • First in early 2011, the company acquired the Nitamin® family of slow-release nitrogen fertilizer products from Georgia-Pacific. • Later in 2011, KAS expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of the AGROTAIN® nitrogen stabilizer product line. • In 2012 and continuing in 2013, the company has expanded its agronomy, R&D and sales teams to support the company's forecasted growth. New Leadership New faces to the KAS team in leadership roles include Ron Restum, vice president, North American agricultural sales and Kerry Overton, director of sales, Corn Belt region. Restum will manage the KAS agricultural sales team in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, and coordinate with other functions that impact the sales and distribution of products. He has more than 30 years of experience in selling, managing and marketing farm inputs. Most recently, Restum was the North America agricultural sales manager for Agrium Advanced Technologies. "Koch Agronomic Services is growing quickly yet intelligently," says Restum. "The company keeps an eye on its commitments to sound science, honesty and integrity. Those cornerstones - along with tremendous resources for innovation - will drive the enhanced efficiency fertilizer category." Overton joins KAS from Monsanto, where he managed and marketed farm inputs for 16 years. Based in southwestern Indiana, Overton will lead a team of six regional managers with territories from Ohio to Colorado. "There are growing pressures from inside and outside agriculture for farmers to be more proactive in managing their nutrients and fertilizer applications," says Overton.
