REPORT SHOWS RAPID INCREASE IN SALARIES FOR LIFE SCIENCE JOBS

A report by BioSpace, the largest online source for life sciences recruitment solutions and news, shows that salary increases among life sciences professionals in the last three years have exceeded the inflation rate by more than 35 percent.
The inaugural BioSpace Life Sciences Salary Report analyzes the BioSpace candidate pool data in the three years between 2010-2012, examining more than 200,000 life sciences professionals at every level with a focus on analysts, engineers, research associates and scientists. While inflation was at 5.9 percent for that period, the life science salary increases averaged 8 percent, meaning the industry outpaced inflation by 35.5 percent.
"We see some positive economic indicators from the report; and we are not surprised to see so many professionals checking this industry for possible employment," said Emily Chereck, BioSpace Product Manager.
