![]() Aug. 8, 2013 Source: FLM+ news release FLM+, a strategic marketing and communications company, announces the addition of Rod Schroeder, a former cooperative agribusiness executive, to its Board of Advisors. This unique and distinguished board not only provides counsel and direction to the leadership team of FLM+ but also actively participates in projects and strategic assignments for FLM+ clients. Schroeder recently retired from his position as executive vice president and COO leading the crop protection business of WinField Solutions, LLC, a Land O'Lakes, Inc. company. During Rod's leadership at WinField, the organization became a high performing division within Land O'Lakes with an emphasis on supply chain excellence, R&D, the combining of crop protection and seed, the introduction of Emerald Extra and several strategic acquisitions. Today, the WinField brand is recognized as an ag input supply powerhouse. A former vice president of Agriliance, LLC, Rod led the Heartland Business Unit from 2003 to 2007, with responsibilities for marketing, sales and operations throughout the Midwest, and the company's crop nutrients business from 2002 to 2003. "FLM+ is honored and excited to continue to attract global leaders in agribusiness to our Board of Advisors. Rod's substantial experience will be invaluable to our ongoing thought leadership efforts as well as direct counsel to many of FLM+'s valued clients," says Rob McClelland, FLM+ president and CEO. Schroeder adds: "I have worked with FLM+ over the last several years in my role at WinField and understand the value they deliver in go-to-market strategy and communications. The Nebraska native began his ag career at Aurora Cooperative in Aurora, NE in 1977 as controller, assuming the duties of president and CEO in 1984. During his tenure at Aurora, the cooperative grew from three to 24 locations. Rod was instrumental in bringing farmers and cooperatives together to form Nebraska Energy, an ethanol producer located near Aurora. Rod grew up on a diversified farm in northeastern Nebraska and graduated from Lincoln School of Commerce in Lincoln with an associate's degree in professional accounting. Rod has served on the board of CropLife America along with boards and committees of The Fertilizer Institute, Farmers Commodities Corporation, Co-op Mutual Insurance Company, Co-op Retirement, Nebraska Energy Cooperative, Preferred Popcorn, Stauffer Seeds, Heritage Bank and several WinField joint ventures. He and his wife, Mary, reside in the greater Omaha area, and have four grown children. Tweet |
