PORKNETWORK NAMES ASSOCIATE EDITOR

Angela Bowman has been named the new Associate Editor for PorkNetwork, the recognized leader in online and print information for pork producers.
Bowman joined PorkNetwork as staff writer in 2010, and has been instrumental in making the PorkNetwork daily newsletter the best-read newsletter in the industry.
In her new role, Bowman will continue to bring fresh, relevant content to the brand's online resources. She will expand PorkNetwork's social media presence and will be more involved in production of the PorkNetwork print publication. PorkNetwork is owned by Vance Publishing Corporation.
"Angi has already proven to be a valuable asset to PorkNetwork," says Editor JoAnn Alumbaugh. "She writes articles that are interesting and timely, and understands the importance of delivering news quickly and efficiently. In addition, she has some great ideas for expanding PorkNetwork's social media reach. We're excited to bring her into this expanded role."
Bowman graduated with honors from Ottawa University with a B.A. in communications. Her rural upbringing, precision ag experience and agricultural background make her perfectly suited to deliver thought-provoking, cutting-edge content to PorkNetwork readers.
Bowman's farming roots trace to generations of hard-working farmers, from cattle to hogs and from corn to wheat. In fact, her great-great grandfather helped bring turkey red wheat to the Midwest. Her family still grows corn and soybeans on their Nebraska farm, which dates back four generations.
