Sep. 22, 2014 Farm Equipment magazine reports: The editors of Farm Equipment magazine have announced that the focus of its every-other-year 2015 Dealership Minds Summit (a unique conference and networking event for dealership managers) will center exclusively on "The Next Generation" of management & ownership transitions within farm equipment dealerships. Open to professional equipment dealers, the event will be held January 13-14, 2015 at the Historic Hilton Netherland Plaza in downtown Cincinnati. With a no-waste, 2-day agenda developed by the Farm Equipment Dealership of the Year Alumni Group and Farm Equipment Dealer Advisory Board, the 2015 Summit will provide insight into the challenges, and best practices, for successful transitions, says Mike Lessiter, editor/publisher. "Transitions in the business are concerning to dealers, manufacturers and farmers alike, and feedback following Farm Equipment's 'Successors of the Industry' special report indicated that greater dialog and dealer-to-dealer learning was needed, particularly among the successor generation." The event will commence on the afternoon of January 13, 2015 and conclude the following afternoon on January 14, with the all meals and events held at the Hilton Netherland Plaza. The 2015 event expands upon the formula from 2013, which includes general sessions, dealer-to-dealer panels, roundtables, and networking over meals and breaks.
