2014 PROFESSIONAL FARM MANAGER OF THE YEAR NAMED
Source: Syngenta news release

Robert Regenwether, accredited farm manager and rural appraiser of Farmers National Company, won the 2014 Professional Farm Manager of the Year award recipient. Syngenta, AgProfessional magazine and the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) co-sponsor the annual award, which recognizes excellence in farm management and customer satisfaction.

To honor Robert for this achievement, Syngenta made a $1,000 donation in his name. Robert decided to split the check between the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa and the North East Iowa Food Bank.

Currently in his 21st year of providing professional farm management services for Farmers National Company, Regenwether manages more than 18,000 acres for 91 clients in Iowa. Born and raised on a farm, the Hudson, Iowa resident connects with his clients and makes decisions with their best interests in mind.

As a farm manager, Regenwether is responsible for keeping up with the ever-changing farming technologies, making educated decisions regarding the land he manages along with being a support system to his clients.

"It absolutely does give me peace of mind knowing he's here," said Maureen Wilson, longtime client of Regenwether. "I live 175 miles from my farm, and consequently I can't keep my eye on it all the time, but I know that Robert is looking out for my best interest."

Regenwether built a successful career on his passion for the environment and helping others. Through a deep seeded interest in farming, Regenwether understands his client's point of view and what needs to be done, resulting in unanimous customer satisfaction. "Client retentions are important for my company and for me, and I think clients appreciate that. They stay with us because we are doing a good job and keep them informed of what's going on with their farm property," said Regenwether.

Syngenta has been sponsoring the Professional Farm Manager of the Year award now for 26 years. "We're very proud to work with ASFMRA to honor the best farm managers around the country," said Brent Rockers, Syngenta district manager. "We think that it's very important to work with an organization that helps keep families involved in the farms that they've owned for generations."

Regenwether expressed his appreciation to Syngenta and award co-sponsors, "I would like to thank Syngenta, the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and Ag Professional magazine for awarding me such an honor, and for their annual sponsorship that recognizes the hard work of farm managers across the country."
