MIDWESTERN BIOAG TO BUILD NEW PLANT IN ILLINOIS
Source: Midwestern BioAg news release

Midwestern BioAg, Inc., announced plans today to build a 17,000-square-foot fertilizer blending and distribution facility in Milledgeville, Ill. The plant, located in the Milledgeville Business Park at the intersection of Illinois Route 40 and Shannon Road, will have the capacity to service hundreds of thousands of farmland acres and is expected to employ 15 to 20 staff over the next two years.

"We are excited to increase our capacity to better serve our Illinois customers," said Tony Michaels, Midwestern BioAg CEO. "For over 30 years, we've helped farmers improve crop yields and quality through our premium fertilizers and services. We're excited to have the opportunity to bring these benefits to a wider customer base."

Currently in the bidding process, Midwestern BioAg expects to break ground on the new facility this summer. The new facility will blend proprietary and commodity dry and liquid fertilizers for surrounding farms and will provide application services through floater trucks and other equipment.

"On behalf of our citizens and the surrounding agricultural community, we welcome Midwestern BioAg to Milledgeville," says Village of Milledgeville President Galen Wirth. "Midwestern BioAg will be a definite asset to our community and we look forward to a long relationship with them."

Founded in 1983, Midwestern BioAg is a premium fertilizer and agronomy consulting company with current sales of $40 million and over 4,100 customers on more than 1 million acres. Headquartered in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin, the company has core facilities in Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, and Ohio, reaching farmers in 29 states and 3 Canadian provinces.
