Source: Carbon Media Group news release

Carbon Media Group, the largest digital platform for farmers and outdoor enthusiasts with a network of more than 600 websites-including 300 sites for its farming-focused agriculture network, has hired Melanie (Acklin) Rice to serve as director of client development.

As director of client development, Rice will focus her efforts on helping Carbon Media Group further develop and expand its agriculture division, which is currently the company's fastest growing business sector.

This will include planning and implementing short and long-term sales programs, targeting existing and new markets in the agriculture space, as well as, outbound prospecting and product marketing strategies to agriculture-focused advertisers and sponsors.

"With her rural lifestyle, equestrian, livestock and production agriculture background and experience, Melanie is the perfect fit for our ag division. Her agriculture knowledge and marketing experience, with a proven track record of developing and growing companies and products, is a perfect fit for us" said Carbon Media Groups VP of Ag Sales, Duane Robison.

"Our Ag audience continues to expand rapidly and Melanie is a great addition and brings diverse skill set to CMG and our agriculture team."

Prior to joining Carbon Media Group, Rice served as Director of Branded Dealer Programs at Verdesian Life Sciences and Specialty Fertilizer Products. Prior to that, she served as the Director of Marketing, where she successfully grew company and product brand recognition. Melanie is also a co-owner of the Acklin Cattle Company, a 200 head commercial cow/calf operation.
