ETHANOL INDUSTRY EXPECTS HIGHER EPA BLENDING VOLUMES IN FINAL RFS PROPOSAL Nov. 4, 2015
Renewable Fuels Assn reports:
The Environmental Protection Agency's blending volumes under the Renewable Fuel Standard may increase due to higher fuel consumption across the country, according to ClearView Energy Partners Vice President and Research Analyst Tim Cheung.
"We think the numbers are going higher," Cheung said. "Gasoline consumption has increased, and therefore consumers are using more ethanol."
Renewable Fuels Association Senior Vice President Geoff Cooper also expects the EPA's final targets to be higher, since the "EPA is obligated to use the latest gasoline demand projections from EIA."
