Wyffels Hybrids, Geneseo, IL, selects The Hondo Group as its agency of record.

Kim Jones, VP, The Hondo Group's Midwestern office based in Darlington, WI, will direct the account. The media planner/purchaser will be Chris Czeskleba.

Jared Huke joins Hondo as Creative Dir. He had been with DAS Creative in Ho Chi Minh City,
Vietnam.

Intervet Cattle Pharmaceuticals names AdFarm its marketing communictions agency for its Safeguard brand.

AdFarm's Kansas City office is handling the account. Kelly Loganbill will be the account lead. Lisa Adams will handle the Media.

AGCO Corp. announces it has outsourced this year's media planning for its farm equipment business units to the AdFarm/Jordan Group.

Leading the planning is St. Louis-based Ted Haller. Insertion orders and ad materials will be supplied by AGCO and its in-house agency.

The Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association (FEMA), St. Louis, MO, announces Woodruff Sweitzer as its marketing communications agency.

Osborn & Barr (O&B), Kansas City, MO, adds Jason Gerke, Todd Foltz, Keri Geffert-English and Mandy German to its PR team.

Gerke was formerly Assoc Editor of Drovers magazine and the Editor/Publications Mgr for the Kansas City-based Dairy Farmers of America Cooperative.

Prior to joining O&B, Foltz was with The Packer, a trade journal covering the fresh produce industry. Geffert-English joins O&B from Kansas City-based Fleishman-Hillard.

German joins the agency as an Ass't Acc't Exec to serve both the account services and pubic relations teams.

Carrie Ralfs joins Charleston|Orwig, Inc. as a Sr Acc't Exec for the Diamond V Mills and WestfaliaSurge, Inc. accounts.

Jennifer Wallace also joins the agency as Assoc Creative Dir. She will work on client accounts including Miller Brewing, Inc., BASF, Hoard's Dairyman and Smithfield Foods, Inc.

Casey Marstaller joins as a PR Writer in its agricultural account service department. Marstaller recently received a B.S. Degree at Virginia Tech. She has interned with Hoard's Dairyman and The Country Today.

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), names Rick Zettler, as its PR Person of the Year.

Zettler, Pres of Z-Comm, Cedar Rapids, IA, was chosen by senior editors at Publicatons in Construction and Agriculture (PICA), a subgroup of AEM, as an outstanding example of "best practices" in media relations. Nominees are ranked by reliability, accuracy, quality of information provided, trustworthiness, integrity and level of experience about their company, products and industry.

AEM also announces the winners in its annual "Measures of Success" marketing awards program, conducted by PICA to recognize excellence in off-road equipment industry marketing communications.

The winning entry receiving the platimum award with the highest score overall was Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, IL, and its agency Rhea & Kaiser Communications, Naperville, IL, for their entry in the product literature category (over $50 million in sales division).

The Solae Company names Osborn & Barr as communications agency of record for its global branding initiative. Strategies include research to determine the current industry opinion of The Solae Company, and development of a new brand platform.

The Solae Company, an alliance between Dupont and Bunge Limited, manufactures soy protein using patented technology developed during more than 35 years of scientific research.

PKA Marketing, Mequon, WI, adds Vicki Lee as VP, Media/Client Services. Lee will supervise all media activities for PKA's business-to-business, consumer and agricultural clients. She will also handle account service duties and be involved in strategic planning.

Lee was formerly Media Dir at KW Advertising. She also brings media and account service experience from Cramer-Krasselt, Nelson & Schmidt, BVK and Bader-Rutter.

Morgan&Myers, Waukesah, WI, hires Travis Maier as a PR Assoc. He will serve clients including, Schering-Plough, Case IH and McDonald's.

Rhea & Kaiser Marketing Communications, creates two one-time scholarships at IL State Univ and Univ of IL-Champaign in honor of long-time clients who recently retired. Both with GROWMARK, Dave Striegel was Director of Corp Comms and Mktg Svs and Vern McGinnis was VP of Strategic Planning and Corp Svs.

CORRECTION
In the May issue, it was mistakenly reported that Scott Whitman, winner of NAMA's "Dilworth Award," is with Idea Outpost. In fact, he is with AgriLife Studios.
